As part of our community outreach program, Kingwood Emergency Hospital is hosting family fun events to educate as well as entertain our local residents. Our Earth Day Celebration will demonstrate for attendees the planting and growing of healthy vegetables and the benefits of eating healthy. We’ll also focus on this year’s Earth Day theme, eliminating plastic pollution. Plastic objects that we use once and discard, or single-use plastics, are a growing critical problem of global proportion. That’s why this Earth Day, April 22, 2018, is focused on Ending Plastic Pollution by Earth Day 2020, the 50th anniversary of Earth Day.
In addition to our learning activities, we’ll have a special appearance by Groot, a galaxy guardian tree-like superhero! Have your picture taken with Groot!
Attendees are encouraged to bring plastic for recycling. Recycling participants will get a special prize.
You can find the NEW Kingwood Emergency Hospital at 23330 Hwy 59 North Feeder Road, just north of Kingwood Drive. We proudly serve the local communities of Kingwood, Humble, Atascocita, New Caney, Splendora, Porter, and residents along the 59N corridor.
