Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of Federally Wanted Individual
On November 16, 2023, a Deputy from the Precinct 4 Office of Constable Kenneth “Rowdy” Hayden conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation at Loop 494 and East Martin in Porter, Texas. The driver was identified as Derrick Roberson, a 31-year-old resident of Houston, Texas.
During the course of the traffic stop, a background check revealed that Roberson had ten active federal warrants for his arrest. These warrants, issued by the United States District Court, relate to charges of illegal narcotics possession, trafficking, and weapons offenses.
Roberson was taken into custody based on the outstanding federal warrants and was transported to the Montgomery County Jail. A subsequent search at the jail uncovered methamphetamine concealed on his person, leading to an additional local felony drug possession charge.
Constable Hayden stated, "This arrest shows our commitment to public safety and our proactive approach in law enforcement. We remain dedicated to upholding the law and ensuring that individuals facing serious charges are brought to justice."
