Multi-County Crime Stoppers and DPS Seeks Info on Fatal Hit and Run Crime of the Week 03-10-2023
Multi-County Crime Stoppers is working with the Texas Department of Public Safety in asking for the public’s help in the investigation of a fatal hit-and-run crash. DPS Troopers were notified of the possible crash on February 11, 2023, at approximately 10:15 p.m. However, it is believed the crash occurred sometime around 8:50 p.m. on Russell Drive in New Caney, Texas.
The preliminary investigation indicates that 63-year-old Robert Allen West was riding his bicycle eastbound on Russell Drive when he was struck by an unknown vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene. Further investigation revealed the unknown vehicle to be a full-size pick-up truck/SUV with a missing passenger-side mirror.

Wow it's been over a month. I hope they find the driver, but after so much time, you have to wonder if they will.
@Bloom : If accurate, that missing mirror would be a great indicator. Best chance is probably someone who knows a vehicle of that description with a driver who might have been in that area. I hope they find the driver.
Oh wow… how can someone do such a thing! That's why my husband and I don't like walking around here: no sidewalks and people (especially those with big trucks) drive like maniacs. I hope that a*hole gets found soon!
