A suspect who stole a vehicle from Kingwood Hospital overnight was quickly apprehended in Porter thanks to the efforts of PCT 4, DPS, HPD and HCSO.
According to reports from the Montgomery County PCT 4 Constable's Office, Houston PD sent out a request for help in locating a freshly stolen vehicle from Kingwood Hospital late last night.
A PCT 4 Deputy located the vehicle at Sorters Rd and Raven Park Dr a short time later, and tried to initiate a traffic stop. The suspect drove off speeding north on Sorters Rd, and eventually crashed the vehicle into an empty fruit stand just south of FM 1314.
At that time the driver fled on foot into the wooded area west of the location. Harris County Sheriff's Office K9 units arrived to assist with the search, along with a DPS helicopter.
The suspect, identified as George O'Brien, was captured within minutes. He was arrested and charged with Unauthorized Use Of A Vehicle and Evading Arrest In A Vehicle.
