The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office has located the injured suspect who opened fire at an automotive repair shop in Porter Wednesday morning.
According to MCSO Lt. Scott Spencer, on August 22, 2018 at about 10:00 am, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to Denali Motor Sports located at 24232 Loop 494 (Porter) in regards to a shooting incident.
While in route, Deputies learned that the actor, a Hispanic male, had been shot by employees of the business and had fled the location in his vehicle.
Upon Deputies arrival, they learned that no employee on location was injured or required medical attention. Deputies interviewed witnesses and learned that the Hispanic male had come to the business upset about his car which had been repaired by the owner of Denali Motor Sports. An argument ensued between the owner and the Hispanic male suspect, which then turned into a physical altercation.
Once the physical altercation was over, the suspect returned to the vehicle he arrived in and retrieved a handgun. He then began discharging the firearm toward the business and employees. The owner of the business, along with another employee, returned fire, striking the suspect and his vehicle.
After the shooting, the suspect entered his vehicle and fled the scene. {It is unknown right now how many rounds were fired by the employees or the suspect.}
Believing the suspect had been shot, Detectives immediately began canvassing local hospitals and discovered the suspect drove himself to the Memorial Herman Northeast Hospital in Humble.
At this time the suspect is being treated for gunshot wounds and is being prepped for transport to an unknown trauma hospital in Houston.
The suspect is believed to be 28-year-old Andreas Camarena (pictured above), but investigators are still trying to confirm that.
