According to reports from PCT 4, multiple agencies helped in the apprehension of two suspects that fled from Deputies early Monday morning.
Around 4:00AM this morning (Monday, October 23),
Deputies with the PCT 4 Constable's Office attempted to stop a red passenger car on Loop 494 near Ford Rd.
The vehicle failed to pull over, accelerated to the south away from the Deputies, reached speeds of 85 miles an hour and was disregarding several intersections(stop signs, traffic signals, etc..). The vehicle approached Northpark and turned west, still blowing through intersections. At Sorters Rd, the vehicle turned back to the north. After traveling approximately one mile, the vehicle crashed into the ditch. At this time, two white males exited the vehicle and began to run.
One Deputy caught up with the driver who had fallen on the ground...He was quickly detained. The driver was later identified as James Strickland. There was a black semi automatic 40 Cal handgun located on the ground where Strickland fell.
The other Deputy had stayed back with the vehicle to detain a white female passenger who never left the car. No charges have been filed against her at this time.
The other white male passenger was located near a retention pond about a half mile away from the vehicle by Patton village PD and MCSO. He was later identified as Chris Lloyd.
Currently, the DA has accepted charges of Evading in a Motor Vehicle and Felon in Possession of a Firearm on Strickland and Evading Arrest/Detention on Lloyd.
During the investigation, several burglary tools, driver’s licenses and credit cards were located in the vehicle. There is a possibility of more charges once Deputies look into the two suspects further.
